Initially an Associate Member of Chartered Builders, he became interested in an academic route and made the decision to train as a secondary school teacher. After gaining a Cert Ed. and a B Ed (Hons) degree a full career was established leading to Advisory, Consultant and Ofsted training.

Music

He has been fond of playing music since the age of 14. Learning the guitar at school from an art master who played  in a big band. Although a professional music career was elusive the love of playing remained to this day. He can be found playing in bands and music events around Kent and Surrey.
